Biomes are regions in Alto's Odyssey with varying geographical features, plants, challenges and colors. The player moves from one biome to another along the run or using a compass.

The first biome in the game is 
dunes. It is the simplest biome, with a dry climate.

The second biome is 
canyons. There are several walls that the player can ride on.

The third and last biome is 
temples. Here, vines and waterfalls are generated.
